Installing the dashcam

Step 1 - Begin by cleaning the area behind the rear view mirror. Make sure you remove any grease or dirt that may impact the dash cams ability to mount against the window.

Step 2 - Connect the camera to the mount and place the mount on the glass by pressing the lever forward.

Step 3 - Plug the charger into the camera. You then want to begin rooting the cables through the ceiling and A-pillar (side pillar), so it doesn't interfere when you're driving.

Step 4 - Connect the charger to the cigarette lighter in your vehicle.

Note: Only use the charger supplied with this dash cam. Using another type of charger could result in a malfunction.

Step 5 – Get in driver's seat and make sure that the camera doesn't interfere with the view of the road. Remember, never mount the camera where the driver's view can become blocked.

Step 6 - Once you're happy with where your dash cam is mounted, it's time to turn it on. Now, to get the mounting angle right, make sure that the camera's view is parallel with the level ground and the ground sky ratio is close to six to four.

Step 7 - Before you start recording, you need to insert a memory card. Make sure you have plenty of space on the memory card to record video.

Step 8 - Be sure to check your camera has the correct date and time before setting off. This plays a crucial role in your recordings. Simply press the menu button and set it manually or using GPS time.

Step 9 - Now, you're ready to go. Every time you start your engine, your dash cam will begin continuously recording within seconds.

Note: If you have a vehicle with a tinted windscreen, it may be athermic and this may affect the GPS reception.
