Witter Detachable Swan Towbar (horizontal loading)
The Witter detachable swan neck towbar is slim, secure and simple to use. Most towball mounted bike carriers are suitable for this type of towbar but be aware that this means that you cannot tow at the same time. The detachable towball neck is easily removed and stows away in its own bag when not in use. Only a small part of your towbar remains visible when detached. When fitted it has a safety lock feature to give a visual indicator of correct attachment and it can also be locked to prevent theft. *Please note some manufacturers offer rear towing valances, these are not included in our price.
Witter Fixed Swan Towbar
The swan neck towbar design is generally perceived as more slick but no additional accessories can be installed. Most towball mounted bike carriers are suitable for this type of towbar but be aware that this means that you cannot tow at the same time. Due to its less intrusive design this type of towbar is less likely to set off parking sensors when your car is not in towing mode. The towbar neck of this Witter towbar type may be able to be upgraded to a Witter detachable neck.
Witter Fixed Flange Towbar
Traditionally used in the UK for all serious forms of towing and generally the most cost effective option. A 50mm towball is bolted to a two hole faceplate that also allows the fitting of accessories such as towbar mounted cycle carriers or bumper protection plates. Please be aware that the fairly bulky shape may set off parking sensors when your car is not in towing mode.
Witter Detachable Flange Towbar (horizontal loading)
Exclusive to Witter this detachable flange neck offers all the versatility of a fixed flange towbar whilst leaving very little of the towbar visible when detached. A 50mm towball is still bolted to a two hole faceplate that also allows the fitting of accessories such as towbar mounted cycle carriers or bumper protection plates. As you will detach the neck when you are not towing this version will not set parking sensors off. When fitted it has a safety lock feature to give a visual indicator of correct attachment and it can also be locked to prevent theft. *Please note some manufacturers offer rear towing valances, these are not included in our price.
