The Witter detachable swan neck towbar is slim, secure and simple to use. Most towball mounted bike carriers are suitable for this type of towbar but be aware that this means that you cannot tow at the same time. The detachable towball neck is easily removed and stows away in its own bag when not in use. Only a small part of your towbar remains visible when detached. When fitted it has a safety lock feature to give a visual indicator of correct attachment and it can also be locked to prevent theft. *Please note some manufacturers offer rear towing valances, these are not included in our price.

If you are towing a basic trailer, bike rack** or have a lighting board attached to whatever you are towing, a 7-pin electrics kit will support all of your basic needs. A 7-pin Vehicle Specific Single Electrics kit provides all of the basic legal lighting requirements for towing and synchronises perfectly with your car.

You will need a 13-pin Vehicle Specific Electrics kit for towing a caravan because it provides all of the legal lighting requirements for towing, as well as powering the electrics inside your caravan. Most caravans, manufactured after January 2009, will have 13-pin electrics and will also connect to your reverse lights whilst providing a full power supply inside your caravan.

*Our dedicated wiring kits synchronise perfectly with your car’s electrical system and, depending on how sophisticated your car is, turn signal failure could also be activated by your vehicle’s warning system. When you choose to get your Towbar fitted at one of our approved fitting centres or with one of our mobile fitters, your Towbar will be delivered to your fitter ready for installation.

However, if you want to choose your own fitter, your towbar and electrics will be delivered to your chosen address on the next working day you place your order before 2:30pm.

It is essential that you should get your towbar fitted by a professional fitter to protect your vehicle from unnecessary damage and to protect your guarantee.
